Bucerías and Bahía de Banderas are among the safest and most peaceful places in Mexico, but due to their small size they are not included in the general safety ranking.
In addition, Puerto Vallarta, the largest city in the region, regularly appears as one of the safest cities in the country.
Living in Bucerias, you rarely hear about violent crime. It is a place where you can walk peacefully all day, but like anywhere in the world, do not forget your belongings or walk around town with large sums of money.

💵 Is it expensive to live in this town?
No. Nearly a third of the cost of living compared to the US and Canada, for example.
Mexico is characterized by having a great variety and delicious foods that can be found at very affordable prices. If you go to your local market and you will find everything fresh and natural. Or you just go to a supermarket to find good deals (Walmart, Chedraui, etc.).
Basic services are affordable, as is local transportation.
And what about health services? You can find everything, good services and others (like everywhere), but there are excellent medical centers and if you need any specialty, Puerto Vallarta is only 30 minutes on average from downtown Bucerías.

The climate of Bucerías has little variation throughout the year. It is not a very rainy area (except for the rainy season, about 3 months of the year), so the sky is almost always clear.
Humidity increases mid-year temperatures and wind chill. The warmest months are June, July and August, with an average temperature of 32.8 °C (91.1 °F).
